The Creator Program is meant to give creators two core benefits: distribution and monetization.
On the distribution side, Mochi gives creators a place to publish anime shorts in an environment built specifically for this format. If your work meets the quality bar, it may also be eligible for additional visibility, including app placements, featured positions, or social amplification through Mochi channels. In other words, self-publishing on Mochi is not just about hosting. It is about the possibility of discovery.
On the monetization side, we are building a creator-first model so that creators can actually earn from the work they publish. Our current intended direction is that creators receive a strong share of ad revenue shown alongside their content. More information on this to be released soon.
Just as important, the Creator route is meant to remain creator-friendly. The current model is intended to be creator-owned unless a separate agreement says otherwise. That means the self-publishing path is designed to help creators build their own audience, not disappear inside someone else’s system.

The Mochi Originals path is the higher-investment side of the house.
This is where Mochi collaborates much more closely with a writer or creator across planning, development, the production cycle, and marketing. Editorial means more time, more support, more attention, and more investment from Mochi. It is a deeper partnership model for projects where both the concept and the creator show clear upside.
