# Publish, share and download

Finish your story, share it and keep a download.

Publish your episode, share its link or save a copy to your device.

## Public private and downloaded episodes

Manage visibility from **Create → Your series → open the series → ⋯ Series options**.

* **Make private** removes community access without deleting your project.
* **Make public** makes an eligible series available to the community. A poster may be required.
* A **download** is a separate saved file. Downloading doesn’t change your series’ visibility.

Private and moderation-hidden series can’t be watched by others through their community share links.

## Download your Mochi episodes

You can download your own finished public or private episodes without making private work public.

1. Open the finished episode in its full-screen player.
2. Pause to reveal the controls.
3. Tap **Download** beside the player settings.
4. Allow photo-library access if requested.
5. Wait for **Saved to your Photos**, then check your gallery.

Keep your series until you’ve checked that the saved file opens correctly.

### HD is for downloads only

**HD is an optional paid download upgrade.** It doesn’t change playback quality inside Mochi or on a shared series link. Check its separate Gem quote before selecting it.

### Branding and creator credit

Prepared downloads include Mochi branding and, when a usable creator handle is available, creator credit and an end card.

### If a download won’t save

Check that you’re viewing your own finished episode, that Mochi has permission to save to Photos and that the video has finished preparing. A new scene render isn’t needed to download existing footage.

For a persistent error, use [Support](/help-and-account/account-and-support.md#contact-mochi-support) and include the episode and exact message.

## Save a poster image

The download steps above save a finished episode video. If you cannot find a way to save your poster, or your device blocks screenshots, contact [Support](/help-and-account/account-and-support.md#contact-mochi-support) with the series name and what happens. You don’t need to keep retrying screenshots or generate another poster just to report the problem.

## My series will not publish or is not visible

Check that:

* Scene slots **1, 2 and 3** all have completed renders.
* There’s no unrendered gap before later footage.
* Your public series has its poster.
* Your series isn’t private or hidden by moderation.

For a moderation-hidden series, **Make public** opens an appeal prompt. Choose **Appeal** to request review. Publishing again or buying Gems doesn’t bypass moderation.
