# Recover or remove saved work

Find earlier work and manage the stories you keep.

Use the recovery tool for the kind of work you want to restore.

## Restore the right kind of saved work

| What you need | Where to look |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| An earlier scene take | **Scene → Versions → Browse earlier renders → Restore** |
| An earlier character design | **Character Edit → Looks → Versions** |
| A deleted series | **Create → Recently deleted → Restore** |

Only available recorded versions can be restored. A character currently being drawn or a community-cast character may have different controls.

## Restore an earlier scene version

1. Open the intended scene.
2. Choose **Versions → Browse earlier renders**.
3. Select a take and choose **Restore**.
4. Read the confirmation, then play the restored scene.

Restoring brings back that take’s script, clip and trims together. Check continuity with later scenes afterward.

If **Keep** is offered after a revision, read its confirmation: it keeps the live clip and returns to the script that made it, discarding the pending revision.

## My character, outfit, scene, or episode is missing

First check the correct series and episode, then the relevant version history or **Recently deleted**.

For an unfinished episode, open its own episode row to continue the draft. For a character, check **Looks → Versions** for recorded designs and their associated looks.

If the work isn’t available, preserve what remains and contact [Support](/help-and-account/account-and-support.md#contact-mochi-support). Don’t reset, delete or regenerate it as a recovery attempt.

## How to delete or discard a series

1. Open **Create → Your series** and select the series.
2. Choose **⋯ Series options → Delete series**.
3. Read the confirmation, then choose **Delete** or **Keep it**.

In Studio, **Discard series** also moves the series to Recently deleted when its confirmation says so. **Start over** is different: it resets setup while keeping finished episodes.

### Restore a deleted series

Open **Create → Recently deleted**, select the series and choose **Restore** within its displayed **30-day recovery window**.

Not every deletion or discarded setup draft is recoverable. Restoration keeps privacy and moderation restrictions in place.

Deleting a series doesn’t delete your account or cancel a subscription.
