Start with the help you need

  1. Scene Creation Guide — the scene editor, copyable examples, timing, revisions and troubleshooting.
  2. How Gems Work — which actions create new work, which reuse an existing take, and how to budget.
  3. How Packs Work — choose the look, story, world and sound that fit your series.

These steps describe Mochi’s scene-board workflow. Button names and availability can vary by app version. If a control is missing, send support a screenshot so they can identify the right workflow for your account.

1. Set up the right series and episode

For a new project, open Create → Start a new series in Mochi and describe your idea to the coach. To continue, open the existing series from Create. Confirm the episode shown on the scene board. Identify a scene by its title or number and its opening action. This helps when scenes have been reordered or similar proposals appear in chat.

Use the episode chat with the Mochi coach to plan the story. State what this episode reveals and what should remain a secret for later. Ask for separate scene proposals when a sequence has several locations, fights or conversations.

Choose packs that support that plan, then inspect the character and location cards inside this series. A pack supplies creative direction; applying it does not redraw existing references or change finished clips. See How Packs Work before changing an established look.

2. Review one scene in the editor

Open the intended scene and check these three things together:

Inspect the actual character images and available looks. Writing “gala outfit” or “testing suit” does not select a matching reference by itself.

Give each scene one main action, exchange, decision or reveal. Read dialogue aloud with pauses. Optional timestamps help plan pacing, but do not change the clip length or guarantee exact timing.

For a copyable starter and the original superhero-teacher worked example, open Scene Creation Guide.
